Variance in Flames

Here I am observing different types of flames or fires. As you can see they are not all the same, fire has movement and it fades as it rises, but all flames and fires have a similar "base."

Brooklyn Site Strategies

Where is the sun coming from? The sun comes from east to west.

Where is the approach (pedestrian and vehicular)?Pedestrian: Adams st, York stVehicular: Manhattan Bridge,Brooklyn Queens Exp

Will people walk, take taxis, public transportation? All of the above, people will walk since the A and F train are only two blocks away and tourist will take taxis or public transportation.

Where is the quietest or noisiest? The noisiest place is at Adams st and York st because of the BQE highway. The further away from the highway, the quieter it will be.

Is there a change in grade? There is a change in grade along Adams st. A slope of about 10ft.

Are there views? There will be views of Manhattan and the Brooklyn bridge.

Is there open space and how it will be used? There will be open spaces. Green areas around the structure, public use.

What are the heights of the surrounding buildings? Most of the surrounding buildings are about 10ft to 13ft height.

How do you attempt to fit your building on this site?I will create a new building type, it will be composed of squares with curvilinear connections.

How do you want your building to impact the neighborhood?I would like peolpe to see my building as the place where you could scape from all your problems and just relax.

CUBE ROTATIONS

WARM-UP EXERCISES

THIS WARM-UP MODEL SHOWS A ROTATION WITHIN ITS STRUCTURE. THE CONCEPT COMES FROM ONE OF THE DRILLS POSTED PREVIOUSLY AND SHOWS THE DIFFERENT CURVES AND INTERESTING SPACES CREATED BY ROTATING THE STRUCTURE. THIS IS ALSO SHOWN IN THE DRILL WHICH SHOWS HOW THE PLAY DEVELOPS AS THE BALL IS ROTATED FROM PLAYER TO PLAYER.

CONCEPTS

MY IDEAS COME FROM SOCCER PLAYS/DRILLS USED IN THE FIELD. I WANT TO SHOW THE RELATION BETWEEN THE FUNCTIONS OF MY STRUCTURE AND THE PLAYS USED IN THE SOCCER FIELD. THE PLAYS HAVE VARIATIONS AND CAN DEVELOP INTO MORE DEPENDING ON THE PLAYERS, THE SAME WITH MY STRUCTURE IT HAS DIFFERENT FUNCTIONS AND DEPENDING ON THE VISITORS IT CAN HAVE MANY DIFFERENT EXPERIENCES.
